• I combine a Psychodynamic / Systemic and EFT lens in my work.
  This means that together, we slow things down and pay attention to what is happening beneath the words, the fears and defenses, We tend to the vulnerabilities that shape how you respond to one another.
  With greater awareness, you can begin to respond differently rather than repeating the endless cycles.
  But I also pay close to attention to the systems that shape the world we inhabit and frame our relationships.

• We explore both the personal histories and the wider social, cultural, and historical contexts that have shaped the patterns, in order to give each one insight into their partner most inner world. But we do so slowly, compassionatly and most importantly safely.

• And to do so, I work diligently to create a safe space, a truly holding container where each person can get in touch with their most tender parts, and explore how they wish to share those parts with their partner and what keeps them from doing so. Often a conversation about the dishwasher is actually a conversation about: Can I count on you to be there tomorrow? I work as a translator, helping my couples create a new language they can both access and, hopefully, safely learn.

I work with relationships at many stages, including ones that are:

• seeking better communication

• navigating a new transition

• working through betrayal

• experiencing a desire discrepancy

• or opening up to a new way of being together.
  
  However, in our work I’m less interested in the content of every fight than in what’s actually happening between the people in front of me.
  
  I pay attention not only to what’s said, but to what isn’t, the body language, held and disowned emotions, and vulnerabilities that can make it difficult to know what we want and risk expressing it

• I work across all relationship structures, Partner, Family members, straight and queer, monogamous and poly, and the ones that don’t fit neatly into any category.
  
  I also work with families facing transitions; mothers and daughters, siblings, extended family.
  And sometimes even friendships that have hit a wall.
